Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Evolve Girafarig

POKÉMON has already revealed the new evolution for Girafarig called Farigiraf.

There are a number of new evolutions for existing Pokemon, including fan-favorite Dunsparce.

However, not only is it difficult to evolve Girafarig, but finding one can also be difficult.

If you want Farigiraf in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, then here’s how to get one.

Where to find Girafarig in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It’s not available in many areas, but Girafarig is a fairly common spawn in a specific field east of Porto Marinada.

Unlike Dunsparce, Girafarig are quite aggressive and will charge at you at full speed, making them easy to counter.

However, the catch rate is quite low, so keeping it on the ball can be a challenge.

Try to put it in status or use False Swipe to bring it down to low HP to catch it.

A Quick Ball in the first round of combat or a Dusk Ball at night are also good alternatives.

How to evolve Girafarig in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Like Dunsparce, you must first reach level 32 to evolve Girafarig.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the built in XP percentage so it gains experience even if it’s just in your party.

It will gain more experience as it enters battle, but it will still gain some experience when you catch a Pokemon.

Raids also reward you with experience candies, which you can use to quickly level up your Pokémon.

How to learn Twin Beam in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

At level 32, Girafarig can learn its signature Twin Beam attack. This is necessary to develop it.

If you missed Twin Beam, you can still teach it from the Select Moves menu.

Once your Girafarig knows Twin Beam, you can level it up again to make it evolve into Farigiraf.
