POKÉMON has been gradually leaking information about the upcoming ninth generation games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and today we got a few more announcements.

We all look back fondly on Team Rocket’s antics, but they haven’t been the series’ villains since Generation Two.

The emerging evil team is called Starfall and has various bases across Paldea.

We meet Mela on her Starmobile, the leader of Starfall’s Schedar Squad.

This faction of the group specializes in Fire-type Pokémon, with Mela leading a Torkoal herself.

Party members can launch waves of Pokémon at you, which you can defeat using the new auto-battle system.

In upcoming games, you’ll be able to send Pokemon yourself to take on other Pokemon.

Three new Pokémon have been revealed, including some exclusive versions

Klawf is the Rock-type Crab-type Pokémon and has either the Shell Armor ability, which prevents critical hits, or Rage Shell.

Anger Shell is a new ability that lowers the user’s Defense and increases Attack when the Pokemon has less than half its remaining Health.

The other two Pokemon revealed are exclusive versions, both of which have the Lightning Bolt Ability.

In Pokémon Scarlet, you can catch the Fire/Psycho-type Pokémon Armarouge.

Armarouge’s signature move is Armor Cannon, a powerful special fire move that lowers the user’s defense.

In Pokémon Violet, you can catch the Fire/Ghost Pokémon Ceruledge.

Ceruledge’s signature move is Bitter Blade, a physical fire-type move that heals the user for half the damage dealt to the opponent.

Titan Pokémon revealed

As far as we know, it looks like Sun and Moon totem Pokémon and the return called Titan Pokémon.

The fight shown in the trailer features Klawf as the first Titan Pokémon to have an oversized appearance.

However, they can also play out like Sword and Shield’s raid battles, since four people can now play the main story together.

Lawn Gym Announced

A new Grass-Type gym was unveiled alongside the previously announced Ice-Type gym.

The leader is called Brassius and uses Smoliv and Sudowoodo in the trailer.

He uses Grass-type terastylization on the Sudowoodo to change his type.

We also see his gym puzzle, suggesting that all gyms will feature puzzles like most mainline games.

In Brassius’ gym, he has a riddle that requires you to find Sunflora in the gym.

New Pokémon-themed Switch OLED announced

In preparation for the new games, a new Switch variant will be released on November 4th.

The dock includes the upcoming boxing legends Miraidon and Koraidon, and the JoyCons have the same colors as the game titles.

There are also scarlet and purple graffiti style designs on the back of the console.

However, the console is sold separately from the games.
