The actress has shared details of a health scare suffered by her youngest son – and thanked NHS staff for looking after him. He’s back home now and jumps back.

Poldark star Gabriella Wilde has revealed her youngest son has been taken to hospital for treatment after suffering from a mysterious illness.

The 32-year-old actress, who played Caroline Penvenen in Poldark from 2016 to 2019, is married to 37-year-old singer-songwriter Alan Pownall and they have three sons together; eight-year-old Sasha, six-year-old Shiloh and three-year-old Skye.

The actress revealed Skye was hospitalized and treated by medics at the NHS-run Royal United Hospital Bath in Somerset.

Thankfully, the young lad is now on the mend and back playing with his older brothers – with Gabriella sharing details of his recovery and thanking the hospital staff for their care.

Skye, 3, has recovered from his health ordeal

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Gabriella shared a photo of her young son lying in a hospital bed and wrapped in sheets.

In the caption, she provided details of his health crisis, writing: “Earlier this week my darling Skye was being looked after by the incredible team of doctors and nurses at @ruhbath hospital.

“I am deeply grateful to all these angels who took care of him and me with such grace and care. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you do and all the sacrifices you make to care for and heal others.

“I’m so thankful to live in a country with national health care. It is something we must NEVER take for granted.”

The actress added: “Skye is fine now and he’s playing at home with his brothers.”

Gabs has previously spoken about how she balances motherhood and work – and detailed how Poldark’s clients adjusted her restrictive historical drama costumes so she could easily breastfeed her second son, Shiloh, while filming the hit show .

She told Country and Town House magazine: “I was never one to make demands.

“The only time I have is when I bring my baby to the set. He was four months old when we started filming Poldark Season 3. Ingeniously, the entire shooting schedule was centered around his feeding time.

“My costumes were specifically designed so I could feed him. He was nauseous almost every day, which gave the costume designers a bit of a heart attack since you can’t actually wash those elaborate costumes.”

Gabriella and Alan are raising their children in the Somerset countryside – with the actress previously telling Marie-Claire that she wants to raise her children similar to the mud-splattered, outdoor life she enjoyed as a child, hanging out with her younger sister and five half-siblings .’

She told the magazine: “I have a large mixed family from different marriages.

“In order to [my childhood] was always quite colorful and wonderful. I grew up in a house full of women; I had all my sisters around me like an army before I even tried to make friends.”
