Police are charging a 31-year-old man with the murder of west Belfast resident Hollie Thompson

A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Hollie Thomson, from the Greenan area of ​​west Belfast.

He is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Police had arrested the man a day earlier after Thomson’s “sudden death” on Sunday morning at a property in West Belfast.

Detectives from the Northern Ireland Police Service’s large investigative team launched a murder investigation after an autopsy on her body.

Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin previously said police arrested him on suspicion of murder and “concern about the supply of a Class A controlled drug”.
