Police chase man after ‘inappropriately touching’ children in park

Avon and Somerset Police are searching for a man, aged between 50 and 65, who attacked two secondary school students at Victoria Park, Frome, leaving the couple “shaken but unharmed”.

Police are hunting a man who ‘inappropriately touched’ two children in a park.

Officials said the secondary school pupils were attacked around 4pm on June 5 at Victoria Park, Frome, Somerset.

The suspect is believed to be a 6ft tall white haired man between the ages of 50 and 65.

He has a British accent and was wearing glasses at the time of the incident, Avon and Somerset Police said.

PC Vittoria Radaelli said: “The victims have shown great strength in coming forward.

“They are shaken but unharmed and we offer them support at this time.

“We are asking for the public’s help to identify this man or for witnesses to come forward so that he can be brought to justice.

“No child should be subjected to such unwanted advances and we encourage anyone with information to come forward.”
