Police are hunting a predator who broke his license terms after he was paroled from a life sentence for disgusting drug-fuelled sexual assaults on a grandmother.

Lee Michaels, 36, also known as Lee Beazley, was released from prison in June last year after serving part of his sentence, West Yorkshire Police said.

He raped a 65-year-old woman after breaking into her home in Marton, Middlesbrough, armed with a knife, in September 2005.

The predator admitted to two counts of rape, while his accomplice David Humphrey pleaded guilty to three counts.

The twisted couple – both 19 at the time – were high on drugs when they tied up, gagged and raped the helpless grandmother. Teesside Live reported.

West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are urgently requesting information on Lee Michaels who is wanted for recall to prison.

“Michaels, who is 36 and also known by the name Lee Beazley, was released from his license in June last year after serving part of a sentence for a serious sex offense.

“He is now being recalled for violating the terms of his release.

“He is described as about five feet nine inches tall and of slim build.

“He speaks with a Northeast accent and has ‘Lee’ tattooed on his right arm and a bulldog tattooed on his back.

“He is believed to be of no fixed abode but has ties to the WF1 area of Wakefield.”

Police said Michaels was restless asleep in a black number 12 Ford Fiesta.

A police spokesman added: “The search for Michaels is continuing and anyone who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Wakefield Police on number 101 or use the LiveChat facility on the police’s website West Yorkshire Police.”

Michaels and Humphrey beat the grandmother at her home before stealing cash, jewelry and a cell phone.

Detective Sergeant Simon Hurwood, who led the investigation into the attack, previously said: “It was the most disturbing case I have had to deal with.

“It was a disgusting and vicious attack on a defenseless woman in her own home.

“I remember a 65-year-old woman being wheeled past me in a wheelchair at midnight, black and blue, after being seriously assaulted. It was just awful.

“That was before I was even told about the sexual side of the attack.

“She suffered traumatic injuries that will scar her for life.

“Her courage has taken her far on the road to recovery, but only she knows the absolute horror of what she has endured and the private anguish she continues to go through.”
