Police patrol Littlehampton Park amid anti-social behavior and fires

POLICE have been conducting foot patrols in a park amid ongoing antisocial behavior.

Arun Police officers have increased their presence in and around Linden Park in Littlehampton to combat the problem.

Police said the targeted patrols follow reports of anti-social behavior and fires in the park in recent days.

“Police Constable Carpenter and the team have spent some time on foot patrol in and around Linden Park following reports of antisocial behavior and fires in the park,” an Arun Police spokeswoman said.

“It was great to speak to several local residents who shared their concerns with us.

“We always appreciate a hello when you see us on our patrols.

“Please continue to report any concerns you have to us, in person or through our online reporting system.”

Last week officers from Brighton and Hove Police conducted patrols in the rock gardens of Preston Park in a bid to combat ongoing anti-social behaviour.

“A youth was in the wrong place for her but at the right time for us – her cannabis was confiscated,” a police spokesman said.

Meanwhile, Arun Police officers recently conducted foot patrols in Bognor town center amid anti-social behavior.
