Police still in Marine Parade, Worthing after air ambulance incident
Police are continuing investigations into an incident in which an ambulance landed on the beach.
A 42-year-old man was arrested following a “medical incident” at Marine Parade in Worthing earlier today.
Officers were seen going in and out of a building near Worthing Beach with bags of evidence and officers were stationed at the property’s door.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police are currently responding to an incident at an address in Marine Parade, Worthing.

“A 42-year-old man from Worthing has been arrested and taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing and we have no further information at this time.”
Earlier in the day, an air ambulance was seen landing at Worthing Beach and fire brigade also helped respond to the incident.
Stagecoach buses were forced to divert from Marine Parade as the road was closed due to the incident.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Services said: “At 10.57am this morning we were called to assist the South East Coast Ambulance Service with a medical incident on Marine Parade in Worthing. We left the scene at 12:49 p.m..”
