THE MALDIVES have abandoned all Covid testing for Brits regardless of their vaccination status.
The popular holiday destination Scrapped Covid tests for vaccinated Brits Earlier this month, but extended this to unvaccinated travelers as well.
The rule change means unvaccinated adults and children over the age of one year no longer have to take a negative PCR test within 96 hours of arrival.
Britons only need to fill out one form to enter the Maldives Traveler Health Declaration Form 48 hours before departure.
Wearing a face covering is no longer mandatory, but people are advised to wear a mask if they have flu-like symptoms, are in crowded places or use public transport.
Travelers are also no longer required to take a Covid test when leaving the islands, as they previously required a PCR test upon departure from the Maldives.
The news will give a boost to all Britons planning to visit the Maldives over the Easter holidays.
Other countries are also relaxing Covid rules, with a variety of European destinations making it easier for Brits to enter.
Last week, Gibraltar announced that this will be the case Scrapping of all test requirements from March 25th.
Additionally, the resort waives the requirement for arrivals to fill out a passenger locator form.
Greece has also abandoned its PLFmaking it easier for Brits to enter the country.
The islands that include Tenerife Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, have been operating under a Covid alert system since the start of the pandemic, but it will finally be scrapped tomorrow.
