Poultry farmers receive more than 2.1 million euros in bird flu government compensation for culling

The Ministry of Agriculture has paid more than 2.1 million euros in compensation to poultry farmers whose flocks have been affected by outbreaks of bird flu over the past two years.

There have been six outbreaks of bird flu in 2021 and affected farmers have received €1,943,023 from the department so far this year.
