The Late Late Show announced a last-minute change to tonight’s show following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last night.
na statement released this afternoon RTÉ said: “Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins will talk about the Queen’s relationship with Ireland, the importance of her state visit. here, her legacy and his return visit to the UK.
“The Last Hell Week: Expert Interviews will be postponed to a later date.”
In an announcement posted on Instagram earlier, host Ryan Tubridy wrote: “In a last minute but welcome change to our guest list tonight, I will salute President Higgins came to the show to discuss an unusual week.”
George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Amy Huberman will also appear on the show tonight.
Clooney and Roberts are in London promoting their new romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise.
The presenter will also talk to them about Clooney’s Irish ancestry and Robert’s memories of filming ‘Michael Collins’ here in Ireland.
“Lots of laughs with George Clooney and Julia Roberts,” Tubridy wrote under the image of the Hollywood elite, which he also shared on Instagram.
Actress and writer Amy Huberman will be on the show to talk about her new children’s book and her upcoming acting job.

Before the first Dublin Brick Con in Ireland, there will be a few very special Lego recreations of famous Irish landmarks in the studio.
In addition, there will be a very special musical performance with Megan O’Neill singing Lay your Head Down.
Meanwhile, interviews with TikTok star Tadhg Fleming, Mrs Brown’s Boys actress Fiona O’Carroll and former Miss Ireland Pamela Uba, who will join Ryan Tubridy on the couch to talk about why at why they wanted to face their fears and sign up to be part of this year’s Ultimate Hell Week: The Professionals, has been postponed until a later date, following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
The Late Late Show will air on RTÉ One tonight at 21:35.
