Prey will be available for free on the Epic Games Store next week

The sci-fi action game from Arkane Studios prey will be made available for free on the Epic Games Store next week. So if you’ve never played it, you no longer have an excuse not to give it a try.

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment designed to change humanity forever – but things have gone horribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. In order to survive, you must use the tools and weapons found on the station and use your skills.

Next week will also be free jotun, the kind of isometric action game where you run around taking on creatures from Norse mythology. The whole thing is hand-drawn and you have to complete different levels and defeat jotuns (bosses) as the protagonist and disgraced warrior Thora. Your main weapon is a huge axe, but you’ll quickly add a ton of power to your arsenal. While this is actually an action game, the focus is more on exploration than beating enemies, but you’ll find the boss fights to be very challenging.

It also has a really cool soundtrack and authentic Icelandic voice acting.

Available for free this week Terraforming Mars. In the turn-based strategy title Terraforming Mars, corporations compete to transform the planet’s hostile environment into a habitable one. This is achieved through the use of resources and the use of innovative technologies to raise the temperature, create a breathable atmosphere and create oceans of water. As terraforming progresses, more and more humans will migrate from Earth to live on the planet.

As someone in control of a corporation, you play project cards, build up production, place your cities and green spaces on the map, and race for milestones and awards to lead the way into humanity’s new territory.
