The £8 Primark sandals went viral on Instagram, where they received more than 25,000 likes the day they were first shared.

The photo of the look-alikes, styled with a scandi-style couch and throwing balloons was captioned: “Never take these sandals off tbh Fluffy Slippers £8/€10/$11. “

The cheap sandals share similarities with Birkenstock’s style and cut but with very different materials and no branding.
