That’s what Primark announced a major change to its deals that has drawn some backlash on Twitter.
The high street store has said it will ensure it offers a safe space for women by creating a “dedicated women’s changing room area and continuing to offer a combined changing room area for everyone to use”.
The dealer also confirmed this It will make cubicles safer by increasing the length of the curtains and adding new mechanisms to keep the curtains firmly in place.

“We will be monitoring these changes closely and will continue to listen to our customers and colleagues.”
The statement confirms that the combined all-all and women-only changing area is for “all women” and no ID is required for entry.
Customers threaten Primark with boycott
However, the move has drawn some negative reactions online, with customers using the hashtag “boycott Primark” on Twitter.

primark tweeted: “We want our stores to be places where everyone feels safe and welcome. We’ve listened and are making some important changes to our fitting rooms,” following which a customer shared his frustration with the new policy.
They wrote: “No you didn’t. If someone can “identify as a woman” and gain access to areas where women and the vulnerable undress, they still don’t listen and allow predators. We see you. We will not buy from you.”
In the announcement statement, Primark said: “We want our stores to be places where everyone feels safe and welcome.
“We are sorry to hear that this was not the experience that some people in our dressing rooms were reporting.
“We have listened to feedback from our customers and colleagues and you will see changes across our UK stores over the coming weeks.”
The store confirmed on Twitter that the changes would also apply to stores in Ireland.
