Primark stores have sold out of Stranger Things Hellfire tops – which are selling for £150 on eBay

A new range of ‘Hellfire Club’ tops, as seen in the final season of Stranger Things, have flown off the shelves at Primark and are now being flogged on eBay for up to £150 each

A range of Stranger Things ‘Hellfire Club’ tops have flew off Primark shelves at supernatural speed and are now being flogged on eBay for up to £150.

The long-sleeved graphic tees are just £10 in-store but many disappointed fans have struggled to get hold of them, with one customer comparing it to “the PS5 scenario all over again”.

Others have begged the store to replenish their supplies, while others have taken advantage of the situation by selling them on eBay for more than 10 times the price.

One listing in particular shows people are willing to pay more to unleash their inner Hawkins High-nerd, with the seller flogging just a coveted £150 t-shirt.

It’s easy to see why the graphic top has proved so popular, as it looks more or less identical to that worn by metalhead Eddie Munson and the rest of his Dungeons & Dragons team.

After review on-line For a medium UK size, the top appears to still be available in a few Primark stores across the country, including branches in Bexleyheath, Derby and Ipswich.

However, there are far more red crosses than green ticks, as various unsuccessful shopping trips reported on social media further illustrate.

It seems that tackling The Mind Flayer yourself might be a far less arduous task than tracking down that particular piece of clothing.

eBay sellers have benefited from widespread frustrations



One person tweeted: “Trying to get the Stranger Things Hellfire Club t-shirt in Primark is literally the PS5 scenario all over again. It’s sold out everywhere.”

Another lamented: “Every Primark in my whole county is out of Hellfire Club t-shirts. Please tell me what I did to deserve this.”

A third person, fed up, said: “I’m trying to blast anyone who has a Hellfire Club shirt with my mind on it.

A few others have claimed to have seen their sizes at their local store after checking online, only to find they weren’t when they actually got there.

Meanwhile eBay salesperson benefit from such frustrations, with a small one-size-fits-all top costing a whopping £150.

According to the listing: “From a smoke free, pet free home. This has been boxed and stored ready for dispatch. Will be sent first class registered mail.

“Sold out in store and not restocked as recommended. This is sold in the men’s department so the sizing is men’s.”
