Prince Charles and Camilla have held a private meeting with the parents of teacher Ashling Murphy, who was tragically killed in January.
Aymond and Kathleen Murphy met with the British royals at the Brú Boru Center at the Rock of Cashel in Tipperary, where they shared their pain at the tragic death of their daughter.
It is understood that the meeting was organized by the Irish delegation as Aishling was well known to many traditional musicians attending an official reception for the Royals at Brú Boru.
The popular young teacher was killed in an attack on the canal in Tullamore, Co. Offaly during a run. She was only 23.
The Duchess of Cornwall has long campaigned to prevent violence against women.
In a speech last year, she said this is not a matter for women to tackle alone and that men must join the cause.
