Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will arrive in the UK together today for the first time since leaving the country to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
They are from California and are bringing 3-year-old Archie and 11-month-old Lilibet with their youngest child to the UK for the first time.
Not being working royals, there’s no room for them on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after Trooping the Color, but they could attend a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday.
The visit is an opportunity for the Sussexes and other royals to heal some of the rifts that have deepened since Harry and Meghan sensationally left royal life and relocated to California.
The Sussexes have appeared regularly in the United States media, where they have criticized the royal family and their way of life.

When they arrive in the UK now, they will not attempt to be in the spotlight with the Queen in focus and will have limited media appearances.
They only bring in a small team of media advisers and security staff with a plan to “keep it simple”, according to ITV News.
At the same time, palace officials are also reportedly hoping the Sussexes’ performance won’t overshadow the Queen’s celebrations.

The Sussexes will also be celebrating their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday in the UK as it falls on June 4th.
The Queen will reportedly join the couple to celebrate her great-granddaughter’s big day as it is now believed she will not be attending the Epsom Derby on that day, reported OK!.
It will be the first time the 96-year-old has met Lilibet, who is named after her, and the first time she has seen three-year-old Archie since he was a baby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to be reunited with the Queen over the weekend, a royal insider told HollywoodLife, reported OK!
They said: “Harry has such a special relationship with her [the Queen] and so does Meghan, they can’t wait for her to spend time with her and see her bond with Archie and Lili. That’s what they look forward to the most.
“The whole weekend will be focused on The Queen but it’s also Lili’s first birthday so the timing is really nice because they get to celebrate this big milestone with The Queen and the rest of Harry’s family.”
