Meghan Receives Perhaps the Oddest Royal Tour Gift Yet!

Royal trips abroad have been put on hold after the pandemic disrupted travel plans.

But now that restrictions have been lifted, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on a seven-day official trip to the Caribbean.

When they were working members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went on two royal tours together.

The first was an action-packed trip to Australia and New Zealand in 2018, which saw the couple complete 26 official engagements in just 16 days, including stops in Fiji and Tonga.

It was followed by the announcement that Meghan was 12 weeks pregnant with son Archie – and despite the rush, she managed to keep up.

But amidst the formal dinners and royal duties, Harry and Meghan apparently managed to “sneak away” to enjoy a “completely secret evening” on a double date in Sydney.

According to the biopic Finding Freedom, they spent their free time with Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney and her husband Ben, where they indulged in a luxurious five-course meal prepared by a private chef.

The book claims: “In Sydney to accept engagements and host the fourth Invictus Games, Harry and Meghan managed to sneak out for an evening off with Jessica and Ben Mulroney, the latter of whom was covering the games for Canada’s CTV network.

Royal tours are now a thing of the past for Harry and Meghan, who gave up royal life in 2020 and now live in California with their children Archie and Lilibet.

However, this past September, the couple performed a number of times in New York City, in what some compared to a royal tour.

It was Harry and Meghan’s first public appearance since they quit as senior royals and moved to California from the UK, as well as Meghan’s first public appearance since the birth of daughter Lilibet.

And according to royal expert and author Duncan Larcombe, the trip could be a sign of what’s to come from Meghan and Harry.

He said Closer Magazine: “”They essentially made a royal visit like they used to do in Britain – only on their own terms and in their own way. So it seems that they gave up life in the UK to do exactly what they were doing here in the States.

“There will no doubt be many meetings at the palace and talks about how they will approach Harry and Meghan’s plans. This visit was a huge thing for the royal family and shows that the royal feud is far from over.”
