Prince Harry has shared an update on his and Meghan Markle’s two children, Archie and Lilibet, with the father-of-two revealing his son has a “squeaky voice”.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, spoke about the couple’s three-year-old son and one-year-old daughter during a phone call on Monday with the winners of this year’s WellChild Awards, which celebrate seriously ill children.
During the call, he spoke to Henry Waines, 4, and his parents, Shevonne and Ben, with the prince pointing out the name he shares with the four-year-old. “My name is Henry. Well, everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea why,” said Prince Harry.
In response to the king’s introduction, Shevonne shared with Harry that she and her husband Ben actually used his real name as inspiration for their son’s name.
While speaking with Henry and his family, Harry once praised Henry’s “squeaky voice,” which he said reminded him of Archie.
“Tell you what, you sound just like my son Archie with that little squeaky voice. I love it,” said the Duke.
Later in the conversation, Henry asked the Duke how Archie and Lilibet were doing. In response to the question, he said they were doing “greatly” and that Archie was “very busy” while Lilibet was learning to speak.
“Archie is very, very busy. And Lili is learning to use her voice, which is great,” Harry said.
While speaking with the families of the WellChild Awards winners, the Duke also shared an update on the family’s personal life in Montecito, California, with the King revealing that it feels like he and Meghan have ” five children”. .
Sharing the update after a service dog briefly joined the video call, Harry joked at the time, “I’ve got three in this house now so we basically have five kids. I have a black lab named Pula, a rescue beagle named Guy and we have another rescue beagle named Mia.”

The Duke, speaking to Isabelle Delaney, who was then recognized as an inspirational young person for ages 12 to 14, then jokingly added that his family’s dogs are emotional support dogs “when they behave”.
“The three of them hunt the squirrels and cause us all sorts of problems every day. But they’re also 100 percent emotional support dogs — when they’re well behaved,” he said.
Harry, who has been a patron of the organization since 2007, took the time to speak to each family and apologize after missing the official WellChild awards ceremony earlier this year due to the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
