Prince Harry has been spotted on his first public outing since quietly leaving the UK following the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Duke of Sussex played a game of polo at the Cancha de Estrella club in Santa Barbara, California on Friday as he played for his friend Nacho Figueras’ team Los Padres.

In a series of photos, the 37-year-old can be seen chatting to a referee after the game.

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle reportedly returned to the United States on Sunday after making a public appearance over the anniversary weekend.

During their fleeting visit, the Sussexes, who were also accompanied by their three-year-old son Archie, introduced the Queen to her eponymous granddaughter Lilbet.

Meghan was not pictured at Friday’s polo match, where Harry’s team lost 8-12 to Dundee II.

Despite their presence at the celebrations last week, a royal expert has claimed the rift between Harry and his brother Prince William has entered a “rotten new phase”.

The couple, who were once close, were not pictured together during the holiday celebrations, leading experts to believe the feud is ongoing.

Although the brothers were both at Trooping the Color, William and Kate were not spotted with Harry and Meghan.

Daniela Elser, an Australian expert on the Windors, said: “It has been almost a year since we last saw William and Harry together and in that time the situation seems to have only gotten worse.

“Five meters. To my best guess, Prince William and Prince Harry were about five feet closest throughout the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last week.

“With a completely neutral expression on their faces, the royal group walked past the second row, ignoring Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who returned the frosty favor.

“There was not a nod, a subtle tilt of the head, or a single recognizable gesture of acknowledgment from either side. Now one thing has become clear – the rift between the brothers has entered a lazy new phase.

“What has become clear is that this is not a temporary freezing cold that a few forgiving words and a gruff hug could fix. It is a state of deep permafrost with no end in sight.”

Harry is believed to have only seen William twice since stepping down as a senior member of the royal family in January 2020 and before last weekend – at Prince Philip’s funeral and at the unveiling of a statue of her late mother Princess Diana.
