Prince William is reportedly “adamant” that his relationship with Prince Harry be repaired.

The Duke of Cambridge is not believed to have spent any private time with his brother during the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations.

At the one anniversary event that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle attended, the brothers kept their distance from each other.

Although Prince William was reportedly furious with the Duke of Sussex after the Megxit, his feelings about the state of their relationship have reportedly now turned to sadness.

A friend told The Sun: “William is adamant that this relationship will be repaired. He still loves his brother very much. You will get through this and time is a great healer.”

The Duke of Cambridge said Harry and Meghan’s shocking announcement that they were stepping down as senior royals disrespected the Queen.

The pair initially clashed over William urging Harry to “take his time” in his relationship with Meghan.

He was also embarrassed when the couple gave a wide-ranging interview to US TV talk show Queen Oprah.

Royal sources claimed the couple played a low-key role in the anniversary celebrations due to their infamous interview in March 2021.

Some senior royals reportedly believe they “crossed a line” in their Oprah chat The Telegraph.

An anonymous adviser previously told the newspaper: “[Harry and Meghan] will not play a prominent role. A line has been drawn.”

The insider added that the couple made no “acknowledgment of the damage they caused” and were “downgraded” as a result.

The two-hour Oprah interview sparked controversy after Meghan and Harry shared some disturbing revelations while speaking with Oprah.

The Duchess of Sussex has claimed there are “concerns” about her son Archie’s skin colour. She also shared that she had suffered from “suicidal thoughts” and claimed she was denied the royal family’s help during her private struggle.

Harry went on to claim that his father and brother, Prince Charles and William, are “trapped” in the institution of monarchy.

After the interview, Prince William told a TV reporter: “We are not a racist family”.

Prince William’s close friends say they don’t think the brothers’ relationship will be repaired any time soon.

One of William’s close friends said so Daily Mail : “He [William] alternates between sadness for what he lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother did.

“He really loves Harry and feels like he’s lost the only person besides his wife who understood their strange life.

“But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry crossed that line 100 percent.”
