Profits double at the agency, which represents stars from Claire Byrne and Ryan Tubridy to Dermot Bannon and Kian Egan

The Dublin-based management agency, which represents a host of Irish television and radio stars, more than doubled its after-tax profit last year to €404,085.

K Management represents the likes of Pat Kenny, Ryan Tubridy, Dermot Bannon, Claire Byrne and Joe Duffy.

The company is run by Noel Kelly and new accounts for Cleary Consultancy Ltd show that the company posted profit after tax of €404,085 for the 12 months to the end of last March.

This more than doubled the previous year’s after-tax profit of €191,339.

The profits of the last two years are followed by profits of €105,188 in FY2020 and €44,779 in FY2019

Last year’s profits increased the company’s cumulative profit from €497,742 to €901,827.

The company’s cash and cash equivalents fell sharply last year from €831,617 to €228,009, offset by the increase in debtors’ liabilities to the company from €722,183 to €1.589 million. At the end of March, the company had equity of EUR 1.01 million. The number of employees in the company remained at nine, two in management and seven in administration.

60-year-old Mr Kelly shuns the limelight but is one of the most recognizable names in Irish broadcasting and is often asked by his clients to negotiate new deals on their behalf with the likes of RTÉ.

In a rare press interview a few years ago, Mr Kelly said: “I don’t care for the limelight. I like the fact that I can get on the Luas and nobody knows who I am or what I do.”

Mr. Kelly was also a long-time director on the board of Adi Roche’s charity Chernobyl Children’s Project International. The firm’s client list reads like a who’s who of Irish celebrities and also includes Dave Fanning, Matt Cooper, Ivan Yates, Baz Ashmawy, Niall Quinn, Kian Egan and Dermot Whelan.

Others include Doireann Garrihy, Kathryn Thomas, Catriona Perry and Sonia O’Sullivan. Mr Kelly also represented the late Gerry Ryan and now represents the station’s daughter and 2FM presenter Lottie Ryan.
