PS2 Classic GrimGrimoire OnceMore announced for Switch

Publisher Nippon Ichi Software has announced an upcoming remaster of the classic RTS game for PS2 GrimGrimoire. GrimGrimoire OnceMore is coming to Japan on July 28 and costs 5,478 yen. No other regional releases have been announced at the time of writing.

GrimGrimoire is a 2D side-scrolling RTS game starring Lillet Blan, a trainee witch who begins her training at the Tower of Silver Star. The game was released on PS2 in 2007 and received generally positive reviews, measuring 79/100 on Metacritic.

Here’s a list of the new features in the remaster (thanks, Gematsu!)

New system: “Big Magic” – Four types of “Great Magic” that can be used during battle have been implemented. Activated with newly illustrated cut-ins.
High resolution graphics and widescreen aspect ratio.
“Fast Forward” function for combat and story parts.
Mid-Battle Save feature for combat parts.
That Adjusted difficulty of Hard mode be more sophisticated than the original version.
New system: skill tree – Earn coins by completing the tasks set for each stage. Coins can be used to boost familiars. Coins can also be refunded.
gallery mode – Enjoy different illustrations.
New voice cast:
Lillet Blan (voiced by Iori Saeki)
Margarita Surprise (voiced by Miharu Hanai)
Gammel Dore (voiced by Miharu Hanai)
Advocate (voiced by Hiromichi Tezuka)
