Russian President Vladimir Putin called the mass killing of civilians in Bucha a “fake” and praised Russia’s “noble” war on Ukraine during a visit to eastern Russia with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday.
“When it comes to Bucha … it’s exactly the same fake as in Syria,” Putin said calledin reference to Russian claims in 2018 that chemical weapons were used in the Syrian war Has been staged by foreign agents. Bucha is “a psychological operation staged by the English,” Lukashenko said added.

The Russian President was on a joint visit with the Prime Minister of Belarus to the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia’s Far East to celebrate “Space Day” and to discuss the two countries’ space industries.
