The draw for the FIFA World Cup 2022 takes place on Friday as Gareth Southgate and England wait to find out who they will face in the group stage next November as they try to get one second consecutive final at a major tournament the following Euro 2020.

But due to Qatar’s time difference, some of the Three Lions’ games will have numerous UK kick-off times when the tournament begins later this year.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Qatar time difference, the tournament’s scheduled kick-off times and when England could play.

What is the time difference between Qatar and United Kingdom?

London are currently two hours behind Qatar, but as the UK clocks go back on October 30, that means the UK will be three hours behind the host country when the World Cup kicks off in November.

Unlike the UK, the time difference in Qatar remains the same throughout the year, so this will not further impact kick-off times.

As things stand it is 12pm in the UK and 2pm in Qatar. By the time of the World Cup, when it is 12pm in the UK, it will be 3pm in Qatar.
