Queen’s Jubilee: Harry and Meghan arrive for Thanksgiving service

The Queen was reportedly allowed to meet her great-granddaughter and namesake Lilibet within 48 hours of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landing in the UK.

It’s understood the long-awaited family reunion finally took place after the Sussexes returned to the UK for the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

The Daily Mail The heartwarming meeting at Windsor Castle reportedly took place in the 48 hours after Harry and Meghan returned to the UK via private jet on Wednesday

However, there is still no official confirmation.

The couple’s other child, Archie, hadn’t seen the Queen since 2019, when he was just a few months old.

Tomorrow is Lilibet’s first birthday and it coincides with a previously planned trip to the Epsom Derby for the Queen.

However, the Queen pulled out of attending the famous horse races due to ongoing mobility issues and instead sent Princess Anne in her place.

It is believed that she will take time to see her grandson Harry and his children again.

Lilibet was named in honor of the Queen, whose childhood nickname was Lilibet.

There was some controversy over their name at the time, with the BBC reporting that the Sussexes had not asked permission to use the name before doing so.

This comes after months of speculation as to what role Prince Harry and Meghan would play over the anniversary weekend.

Reports ahead of the four-day weekend suggested they would be keeping a low profile throughout the celebration and their Netflix cameras were blocked from following them.

They were spotted with fellow royals as they held hands and joined the royal family for a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

It took place on the second day of the anniversary weekend and was the first time the couple had been in public with the rest of the firm since leaving the monarchy two years ago.

This all comes as Meghan Markle’s hairstylist and close friend spilled the beans on the Sussesx’s children Archie and Lilibet earlier this morning.

George Northwood called Archie the “cutest, most well behaved boy” and their little girl Lilibet “beautiful”.

Mr Northwood recently flew to the Netherlands to do Meghan’s hair while she attended the Invictus Games with husband Harry.

He shared a post with several pictures of the Duchess on Instagram today.

In the caption, he wrote: “So nostalgic and wonderful to be reunited with Harry, Meghan and their family in the UK. Archie has grown into the cutest well behaved little boy and Lilibet is absolutely beautiful.”
