Queen has a sweet tradition when George, Charlotte and Louis are guests

According to Kate Middleton, the Queen has a cute way of showing her great-grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis how much she loves them

The Queen may be one of the busiest women in the world, but she still takes time to make her great-grandchildren feel special.

The Queen has a total of 11 great-grandchildren (12th on the way), from the eldest, Savannah Phillip, 10, to the youngest, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

And she has a cute way of “showing her love” when she sees them.

On occasions when the children stay with their grandma, be it at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Balmoral Castle or Sandringham House, the Queen is said to always leave them “special treats” in their rooms.

This is according to Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ mother who revealed the little information during an interview with ITV.

Speaking on the ITV documentary ‘Our Queen at 90’, the Duchess of Cambridge said: “[The Queen] always leaves a small gift or something in her room when we leave and stay, and that just shows her love for her family.”

Kate went on to talk about how much the Queen is in love with six-year-old Princess Charlotte.

She explained: “The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl.

“I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here.

“I think she likes Charlotte a lot. She’s always watching what she’s up to.”

However, the Queen is not the only member of the royal family who takes gift-giving very seriously, especially around Christmas.

In recent years, Meghan Markle has impressed Her Majesty with a gift that would not only make her laugh but also delight her dogs – a singing hamster.

This caused the monarch to burst out laughing, noting, “It can keep my dogs company.”

Princess Diana also found a great gift to make Harry laugh, one year.

Former royal butler Paul Burrell told the Mirror: “She spent hours looking for fun things to wear with her stockings. In a year, Harry got fake dog poo.”

And after passing on her naughty sense of humor to Harry, he came up with a very cheeky plan to hide him somewhere for his granny to find.
