Queen’s Jubilee: Prince Louis enjoys the Platinum Jubilee Pageant

The Queen rounded out her platinum jubilee celebrations with an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with her heirs, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Louis.

They were joined by Camilla, the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to wave to tens of thousands of well-wishers who had gathered on The Mall to watch the historic event.

There was great cheering as The Firm took to the balcony for their short and sweet visit, which lasted just three minutes, with thousands of Union flags flying in the chilly London weather.

Dressed in a lime green coat with a matching hat and carrying her walking stick, the Queen watched as the people sang the national anthem.

It is the monarch’s third balcony appearance of the four-day weekend and comes after she was forced to withdraw from Friday’s Thanksgiving service and the Epsom Derby yesterday.

Charles, William and Charles looked chic in suits and ties while Kate looked stunning in a light pink dress. Camilla and Charlotte dressed in white while Louis wore a black coat.

The royal finale comes at the end of a spectacular pageant, which saw thousands of members of the public and national treasures of celebrities parade around Buckingham Palace in outlandish costumes to symbolize seven decades of the Queen’s reign.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were among the guests of honor who watched the event from the royal box.

They sat in the front row with their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. After stealing the show with his incredible facial expression at Trooping of the Color on Thursday, Louis once again entertained the crowd by joking around with the other young royals. He could be seen playing with his pillow, covering his eyes and dancing in his seat.

He was also seen dipping in some chocolate and covering his mother Kate’s mouth with his hand.

Princess Eugenie was seen bouncing her one-year-old son August, clad in a Union flag sweater, on her knee.

Before their performance, Ed Sheeran took the stage to perform some of his hits before singing the national anthem.

The pageant included seven open-top buses that were full and represented different decades of the Queen’s reign.

Sir Cliff Richard, Katherine Jenkins and Bonnie Langford were on the 1950s bus alongside Gloria Hunniford and other celebrities.

Bear Grylls also appeared alongside his son in a Land Rover Defender.

Gary Lineker joked that being on the same bus as Pudsey Bear at the event was a “career highlight”.

Shirley Ballas said the atmosphere on the 1970s bus, where she accompanied Angela Rippon and Heather Small, as well as Emmerdale star Patrick Mower and comedian Lee Mack, was “electrifying”.

Fashion queen Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell led the stars in the 1990s bus, which was styled in denim style with badges. Also on board were Courtney Love and Vanessa Mae.

She said: “The atmosphere is absolutely electric, people are really responsive. Everyone on the bus is having a blast.”

Cyclists including Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Laura Kenny and Sir Jason Kenny pedaled up The Mall as part of the pageant, followed by a peloton of 300 cyclists riding vintage cars dating back to seven decades of the Queen’s reign.

Seven decades of James Bond cars and a fleet of Morris Minors of all colors were also driven up the Mall.
