Queen legend Brian May makes his debut in BBC series Andy and the Band in a major career change

QUEEN legend Brian May is set to make his acting debut in the BBC’s Andy and the Band in a major career change.
The 74-year-old rock star will appear in the highly anticipated second series of the popular CBBC show later this month.
Brian will take on the role of The Godfather of Rock in a brand new episode called Planet Rock.
The guitarist will help Odd Socks members Andy, Moxy, Rio, Blu and Cousin Mac put on the “best ever” performance on stage.
But before that, they seek help from the music legend because guitarist Rio no longer believes in himself that he can perform in front of a crowd.
And of course, Brian can show him how much he loves playing the guitar.
The song they perform in the episode will be available from February 18.
Speaking of the episode, Brian said: “I enjoyed working with Odd Socks! Playing the Godfather of Rock is truly a very emotional experience.
“The episode is a great message of hope for kids who have lost confidence.
“The iconic use of guitar air is so fitting. And on a broader scale, I fit Andy and the Band perfectly in their quest to help every kid feel proud of their individual qualities.
“I am supporting their anti-bullying campaign!
“Beware the magic of Planet Rock!”
Andy and the Band first hit theaters in February 2020.
The first season has a total of 15 episodes.
It stars Andy Day as Andy, Marcus Ramtohul as Blu, and Holly Mallett as Moxy.
Rio is played by Marcelo Cervone and Stewart McCheyne plays his cousin Mac.
