The Queen has a team of royal chefs and kitchen staff to prepare her breakfast every morning – but she has chosen the same thing every day for 70 years.
His Majesty, 95, is said to have chosen to eat a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal to start his day.
The cereal brand affirms a longstanding relationship with royalty.
Dan Bitti, Kellogg’s Breakfast Team Leader, said in a statement: “Having the Royal Seal of Approval is a great endorsement and we are honored as the Queen continues to start her day off to a new start. with a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal.”
Former royal chef Darren McGrady, who has worked for the royal family for over a decade, previously revealed that the monarch’s favorite pick is Special K.
He added that she enjoyed a bowl most days during her 70-year reign.
Darren said walkie talkie in 2015: “Sadly, the Queen is not a foodie.
“She eats to live, unlike [the now late] Prince Philip, who loves to eat and stand and talk about food all day.
“For breakfast, the Queen likes cereal – usually special K – and fruit.”
He also revealed that she “likes” to eat scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and a layer of truffles but added that she is usually “too frugal to ever order fresh truffles”.
He say: “[She] only really enjoyed them at Christmas when truffles arrived as a gift. ”
Professional chef Darren has worked in the royal kitchen for 15 years preparing meals for the Queen, Prince Harry, Prince William and Princess Diana during their time at Buckingham Palace.
Darren also shared that the Queen does not enjoy pizza and during her 15 years at the palace, not a single pizza was served.
Monarch meals are healthy, low-carb meals, usually grilled fish or chicken with two different vegetables or a large bowl of salad.
That said, the Queen still likes to treat herself to something sweet from time to time – and Darren Claims She’s Totally An “Alcohol”.
