Queen’s Jubilee supermarket opening hours: Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and more

Some supermarkets will reduce their opening hours during the anniversary holiday, which runs from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June

Millions will benefit from the four-day Platinum Jubilee bank holiday as the UK celebrates the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 96-year-old monarch, the longest-serving monarch in British history, will be honored with over 1,455 public events and 1,775 street parties from June 2.
While pub opening hours are being extended from 11pm to 1am to drink and be merry, some supermarkets are shortening opening hours or varying when they close their doors.

tesco
The supermarket giant has yet to confirm its opening times for the bank holiday weekend, but most Tesco branches in 4,000 stores are expected to remain open between 8am and 6pm – the usual bank holiday hours.

Asda

Estimates of earlier Bank Holiday opening hours will likely see the supermarket giant open from 8am instead of 7am and close at 8pm, compared with 10pm or midnight as usual.
Exact times will be available from the brand Dealer locator here before the anniversary.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s is expected to open between 7am and 9pm, slightly reducing normal opening hours. Shops are usually open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Aldi and Lidl
Aldi will operate its normal holiday hours, which are 8am to 8pm in all stores nationwide. Meanwhile, Lidl is also expected to follow the same pattern.
Morrisons

Morrisons will be open as usual over the bank holiday, meaning shoppers can browse most branches between 6am and 11pm.

Marks & Spencer
During the recent bank holiday, M&S was open from 7am to 8pm in its UK offices and is expected to follow the same pattern throughout the anniversary.
Waitrose
Most shops are open during the bank holiday during their normal opening hours, meaning shops are open from 8am to 10pm, while some Little Waitrose shops are open from 7am to 10pm.
Iceland
Customers can shop in the store from 8am to 9pm when the supermarket has the same opening hours as the last bank holiday.
