Rachel Stevens’ ex Jeremy Edwards backs her to win Dancing On Ice and says ‘she looks amazing and she’s so talented’

DANCING On Ice Rachel Stevens’ ex, Jeremy Edwards, backed her to win the skating competition because he called her “very talented”.
The former Hollyoaks star began dating the S Club 7 singer in 2000 – and the pair would marry two years later after he raised the question.
Rachel, 43, had to postpone her debut on the ITV skating show alongside professional partner Brendyn Hatfield after suffering an injury.
She hit the ice for the first time this past weekend, and was saved by the judges from being sent home after a skating match with Ria Hebden.
Now the star has been pushed to win by ex Jeremy, 50, who insists they have remained “great friends” since their split in 2004.
He told New! magazine: “I want Rachel to win because she’s not a trained dancer.”
“She was never into skating, not as far as I know,” the actor continued.
Rachel and figure skater Brendyn performed their highly anticipated first procedure Saturday night with the Moulin Rouge hit Lady Marmalade.
Last week, the mother-of-two said she’d love to wear some skimpy outfits for upcoming routines to show off her figure, which is Firmer than ever.
“I really know my body now,” Rachel said. I know what’s right for me and what’s not. That really helps to dive into the field like this – and the creative team is very open-minded.
“I definitely feel more toned now. The first time I put on my costume, I felt ‘How fun!’ But you also have to feel confident. “
Born and raised in North London, Rachel started her career in 1993 as a model and in 1998 joined S Club 7.
The group – Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Tina Barrett and Rachel – scored a string of hits, including Reach For The Stars, Don’t Stop Moving and Say Goodbye.
The group ended in 2003 – and this month Rachel’s bandmate, Tina, revealed an unlikely reunion because Jo, Jon and Paul were all uninterested.
The same year S Club split, Rachel became the band’s breakout star with the release of the single Sweet Dreams My LA Ex. Although her solo pop career lasted only a few years, her status as a pinnacle is enduring.
In 2009 she won the Back of the Year award – and in 2014 FHM was crowned her Sexiest Woman of All Time.
