Rachel Zegler has thanked the Disney team for “some real magic” after being invited to the Oscars on Sunday.
The West Side Story star said she’s thrilled to be able to celebrate the film in person with her “family.”
She shocked fans earlier in the week after revealing she hadn’t been invited to the 94th Academy Awards and would be wearing “my boyfriend’s sweatpants or flannel” while watching the show at home.

But after an online backlash from fans and other celebrities, she was confirmed as the presenter alongside a stack of famous faces.
The actress is currently filming in London for her next big role in Disney’s Snow White.
“Well guys I can’t believe I’m saying this but… see you Sunday!” she wrote on Twitter.
“The absolutely incredible team at @Disney and our Snow White producers did some real magic and I’m thrilled to celebrate my @westsidemovie fam at the Oscars.”

Zegler said it was “not lost on her” that adjusting the Disney film’s schedule was “no small sacrifice,” and thanked Oscar show producer Will Packer for her presenting seat.
“I’m so excited to open this shiny envelope,” she said.
“I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. Serious. Serious. Now, what to wear…”
West Side Story is nominated for seven awards at this year’s Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.
