RADFORD fans were in tears after 20-year-old Luke became bisexual in the latest series of 22 Kids and Counting.
On tonight’s episode of the family’s Channel 5 show, 22 Kids and Counting, Sue and Noel felt “emotional” after their son revealed his gender identity.
But it wasn’t an easy decision, as Luke admitted that he had hidden his true self from his family for six years.
Speaking on the show, he said: “When I was 14 years old I knew quite a few things and from then on I always wanted to say it but there was always something said or something happened that made my confidence worse. I was crushed.
“I can’t describe how taxing it is for you to keep it for so long, it’s hard to tell my family because it’s their opinion that concerns me the most.

“It’s not fair you have to go through, just living a lie, if it’s not you, you have to pretend it’s not fair.
“You have to face it for yourself and make sure you’re comfortable with people’s worst opinions before you can comfortably tell people.
“It’s been a mental game to try and get there – until now.
“Sit down and talk to mom and dad? I don’t know how people can do that.”
(He announced it with a social media post.)
“When you say something different or act differently from the so-called norm, you are judged differently, so when you are a different person, it will be difficult for you to fully control your emotions. .
“Some people love you differently, some people love you more and of course you have people who don’t care.”
The social media post read: “At 17 I really questioned who I was personally and at 20 I felt like I had to come face to face with who I am.
“I’m bisexual, it’s my core and a part of me that makes me function the way I do
“For all of our supporters, I cannot thank you enough, and to all of those who look down on us, I pray that your ignorance will soon be cleared up.”
“I don’t think you’re straight, gay, bi whatever – as long as you’re happy that’s important,” says Sue.
“I’ve known for a long time, I don’t even need you to tell me.”
“It’s a relief to us that you’ve finally become what you wanted to be,” Noel said.
Sue added: “The best thing about being in a big family is that you have that support network, you have so many people who will support you.”
Luke replied, “It’s been the greatest relief that I feel free.”
Knowing how much you support Luke makes my heart smile.
