Rainbow Six Siege has an overrated attacker that will definitely be nerfed soon

The struggle for balance continues.

It’s been a little over seven years since Ubisoft released its version of the competitive shooter formula injected with the Tom Clancy brand. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has been hugely successful in the gaming community and has proven to be one of Ubisoft’s biggest hits as the French publisher has consistently released content to keep fans engaged.

Last month, Siege entered its final season of content in its seventh year, Operation Solar Raid, taking the overall playable character roster to 65. However, one character in particular appears to be dominating the ranked modes on PC, leading fans to over thinking about the state of the game and if she’ll get the “nerf hammer” next.

The Rainbow6 Reddit has found that Dutch Attacking Operator Iana has become a high pick rate in ranked games, at least in the Platinum ranks and above. Iana’s unique Gemini Replicator ability allows the operator to create a clone of themselves that can be used for scouting purposes and yield insane amounts of intel. She also has solid gear for players to triumph with, as she has access to frag grenades and powerful primary weapons.

Many fans are concerned that Ubisoft will see this and take it at face value and nerf Iana while the rest of the operator pool is in shambles. Live service titles are difficult to balance, and with games like Apex Legends undergoing the same character imbalance movement, it will be interesting to see how Ubisoft reacts to the rise of Iana.

Who knows, maybe Ubisoft will ignore the graphics and introduce another one crossover skin this will drive the player base crazy.
