Random: Portal 64 Demake shows Portal on ‘real N64 hardware’

valve Portal: Companion Collection will see the release of portal and portal 2 for the very first time on a Nintendo system, but have you ever wondered what the original 2007 game would have looked like had it been released during the N64 era?
Well, a Portal 64 demake is in the works now. It’s still under development, but in the video below you can see project collaborator lambertjamesd showing off the portal gun and portals. Even more impressive is that it appears to run on real hardware and can go up to six portals deep.
“Portal runs on real N64 hardware. In this update I got the portal gun working with recursive portal rendering. I’ve also made some big strides behind the scenes on the game engine.”
The same creator ‘lambertjamesd’ previously published Miscellaneous Nintendo-inspired creations like the Game Boy emulator rumored to run on real hardware and N64 Realtime Shadows.
