Random: This dating game is about trying NOT to get a girlfriend and there might be a switch

I don’t know about you, but I am constant knock away admirers. I walk into the pretzel store and everyone starts making me bread-based pick-up lines. I take a trip to the aquarium and people are always trying to get into the squid tanks to spell MARRY ME with the poor guy’s tentacles. It’s a real burden, folks.

Luckily, there’s a video game in the works that I can finally relate to: I just want to be single, an anti-dating game currently fundraising on Kickstarter. You play as Aya, a socially awkward, non-binary “anxiety-ridden mess” (haha, same) who’s new in town and desperate for friends… but she quickly discovers her new haircut is fair too goodand makes everyone fall in love with her.

There is a unique input interface that you must use in order to talk to all characters and what is related to it anti-dating game, you have to think carefully about what would be the best thing to say… and then go in the completely opposite direction. You also have to pay attention to other mechanics like timing, sound and even secret hidden dialogue options.

It’s currently fully funded for the PC release, but one of the Kickstarter stretch goals is a Switch port – if funding hits $80,000 in the next two weeks, it could become a reality!
