Random: Upgrade your tree with these Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon ornaments

We hear you – it’s April. Why are we talking about the Christmas season now? Honestly some days it still feels cold enough to be the winter season. Some people also plan very early for the season. And the holidays fill most people with joy, right?
Well, we’re bringing you a little Nintendo Christmas cheer this spring. Hallmark – the greeting card company – releases a line of tree ornaments for a handful of Nintendo franchises.
We first spotted one of these on the Zelda fansite Zelda Universe, which featured an extremely detailed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tree ornament of Hallmark of Link, wearing his blue tunic and aiming his travel bow. But a deep dive into Hallmark’s website revealed that it’s more than just Zelda that’s getting the ornament treatment, as there’s some lovely Mario and Animal Crossing too.
Here’s a look at all of the holiday video game-themed goodies we could find on Hallmark’s website:
The Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis systems also light up and make sounds, making them must-haves in our books.
Hallmark has been selling Nintendo and video game themed ornaments for a number of years, and the SNES has definitely been seen before. Here’s last year’s picks as shared by IGN.
If you’re dying to start planning for the holiday season, you can pre-order these ornaments now, and they’ll be yours in time for their October 8th release. Prices range from $9.99 to $22.99.
Will you get some of these? And are we crazy to be talking about the holidays now? sound out below.
