Rangers fined £12,000 by UEFA for ‘inappropriate team conduct’

RANGERS have been fined by UEFA for “improper conduct” in the Champions League defeat by Napoli.

Competition bosses have ordered Rangers to pay 14,000 euros (£12,300) over the fee.

The club was cited under Article 15(4) DR of the UEFA regulations.

And the decision refers to “improper behavior by the team”.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men received six yellow cards in the encounter, while James Sands was sent off for two bookable offences.

John Lundstram, James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos were all booked in the game alongside the two yellows from Sands.

Rangers lost 3-0 in the game with Matteo Politano, Giacomo Raspadori and Tanguy Ndombele all scoring at Ibrox.
