Rattle Road near Eastbourne partially closed after car crash

The incident happened around 8.20am this morning eastbound on Rattle Road in Westham, near Eastbourne.

The Vauxhall appeared to crash into a wall and telegraph pole, causing the pole to snap while the car stayed on the road.

The police are currently on site.

The driver’s injuries are minor and no arrests were made.

Traffic is fine in the area.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “At 8.20am on Saturday 9 July, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision between a car and a telegraph pole in Rattle Road, Westham.

“The road was closed for a short time. No arrests and minor injuries.”
