Ray Alba and Nathan Sheppard Appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing at Capitol Records

Ray Alba and Nathan Sheppard have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents of Marketing at Capitol Records, the flagship label of Capitol Music Group (CMG).

The couple will report to Arjun Pulijal, who has been appointed as the Chairman of CMG in january.

The hire of Pulijal is the first major executive move made by Michelle Jubelirer since she was promoted promoted to Chairman and General Director of CMG in December 2021.

Alba and Sheppard will co-lead the label’s marketing, overseeing the design and execution of marketing campaigns for the label’s full roster of artists.

Both executives have their corporate headquarters in Capitol Tower, Hollywood.

Alba comes to the Capitol from Epic Profilewhere he was Senior Vice President of Publicity.

At Epic, Alba joined Future’s High life album and 21 Savage’s Savage II mode.

Prior to joining Epic in 2018, Alba was Vice President of Public (Head of Urban Publicity) at Interscope Geffen A&M Records from 2015 to 2018, where he helped design and execute promotional campaigns and marketing for artists including Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q and Rae Sremmurd.

Sheppard joined CMG from Music on YouTubewhere he is the Senior Brand Relations Manager.

He joined YouTube in 2015 and grew to manage all of its business across its key partners and artists, including setting up new releases, artist marketing campaigns, brand partnerships , event management, YouTube Originals and product education.

Sheppard has worked on campaigns including that of Paul McCartney Directly from Grand . Central StationKaty Perry’s Witnesses around the world Live stream 4 days, Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Prom exclusive movies on YouTube and Billie Eilish’s Artist Featured Story.
