‘Real diva Gemma Collins and Denise Van Outen my worst partners,’ says the Dancing On Ice star

Dancing On Ice expert Matt Evers gave a no-nonsense review of his former partners on the ITV show – calling Gemma Collins a real diva and calling Denise Van Outen a ‘bad partner’ his best’. He also shared his concern with the fact that the three finalists this year are all professional dancers.

Dancing on Ice expert Matt Evers has given a series of scathing reviews of his former celebrity skating partners, and revealed who he is least favorite to work with.
Former champion Matt, who performed with Corrie’s Sally Dynevor this year, admits he doesn’t get along too well with the people he teaches skating.
Matt shared the trouble chatting with reality TV star Vicky Pattison on the ‘Whose Secret’ podcast.
When asked who is the worst person he works with, Matt immediately replied to Denise Van Outen.
“I have to say my favorite was Denise Van Outen because she got injured so early in the show,” he recalls.
“Denise is a fun person and she has the potential to perform very well on the show.”

Entertainer Denise endured double pain due to dislocation and fracture of her shoulder during rehearsal in 2020. She was forced to withdraw from the show shortly after.
Matt was then asked to take on the role of the famous ‘Essex diva’ Gemma Collins.
“When I dance with Gemma, it’s hard for her and it’s hard for me,” the pro began.
“There’s all these stories coming out and that she’s a diva backstage and yes she’s had her moments… but she’s always shown up,” Matt added.

Matt says he’ll realize that celebrities have two very different sides to them.
“There’s the person, there’s the personality but then they start to believe that they start to believe in the character himself and they have to believe in their skills.”
Matt also weighed in on the rumors surrounding this year’s ITV series and admitted it was ‘unfair’ that the three finalists were all professional dancers.

Star Brendan Cole, Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt and dancer Regan Gascoigne battled each other in the final, before Regan was voted champion by viewers.
“Is it fair that we have three professional dancers in this year’s final? Hmm…not necessarily,” Matt admitted.
“That’s a big question mark, isn’t it?
“But yeah, we’re in an interesting situation right now where the standard of the show has gotten so high.”
Matt said he worries that this year’s standard of finalists will prevent other celebrities from applying next year.

Speaking after winning the show last Sunday, Regan, son of football legend Paul Gascoigne, said he missed teammate Karina very much.
“Thank you for making this experience so special! Wish we could keep skating,” he told her.
The star was seen partying with her sister Bianca and other family members after the finale.
