Dancing on Ice: Regan and Karina are the winners
Regan Gascoigne has won the Dancing On Ice 2022.
The dancer triumphed over Brendan Cole and Kimberly Wyatt – who placed third – in a closely watched final that saw all three remaining celebrities receive as many absolutes as 40 out of 40.
The show’s judges – Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo – give their verdict on the remaining three, but viewers at home will choose the ultimate winner.
Speaking after their victory was announced, Regan was mostly speechless but can admit that he couldn’t believe he had won.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby – who were later absent from the semi-finals after a positive Covid test – held proceedings, as the three remaining dancers performed superb slides with two dance moves. Last dance is Torvill and Dean’s Bolero.
Both impress with their iconic routine’s performances, and feature plenty of tricks throughout the rest of the series, including gorgeous raises, beautiful transitions, and two great Bolero tries.

All three finalists caused some controversy as they all have professional dance backgrounds. Regan is a trained dancer, Brendan has appeared on the stage professionally for several years and Kimberly is best known for being part of the Pussycat Dolls. However, all three denied it was a ‘fix’ that they were all there instead of any other skaters.
“If we were all the same, wouldn’t that make for a really dull performance?” Brendan said in defense of the fix’s claims, “It just so happens that the three of us already have dance experience and we’re all now pushing each other to do the most incredible televised show. “

Meanwhile, Kimberley added: “You’re never going to convince people that you deserve to be or don’t deserve to be there. In the end, we all went out there and tried our best to create the best movie ever and I think we’re entering the best finale ever – for the three of us. I’m really grateful for my choreography background. “
Regan insists the trio “all started from nothing to get here” despite their dance backgrounds, as he says it’s a completely different kind of movement than on a regular dance floor .
