Headquarters in New York reservoir Media has landed a global publishing deal with Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Michael Render aka Killer Mike of hip-hop duo Run The Jewels.
Reservoir says that the deal covers his entire catalog and future works.
Atlanta-born Killer Mike has released four studio albums with Run The Jewels partner EL-P. Their most recent, RTJ4entered the Top 10 on Billboards 200.
In addition to his work with Run The Jewels, Killer Mike has been an active solo artist for over 20 years, releasing studio albums and mixtape, and collaborating on projects by some of the biggest names in the village. hip-hop includes Outkast, Jay-Z, Big Boi, TI, Black Thought, and more.
Killer Mike won a Grammy for Best Rap Duo or Group for his collaboration with Outkast, The whole worldand also featured on Poppin’ Card out of Jay-Z’s No.1 and Triple-Platinum albums, Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse.
In addition to his success as a musician, Killer Mike has acted in a number of films, including Baby Driver, Idlewild, and ATL.
He also did the voiceover for 2021 Netflix film America: The Motion Picture and host of many series including Love & Respect for PBS’s Killer Mike, Facebook‘s Roll’N with Killer Mike and Netflix’s Activation Alert with Killer Mike.
Killer Mike is an advocate for the disenfranchised, a business owner, and a frequent speaker on politics, race, and inequality in many communities.
In 2020, Killer Mike’s work as a social justice activist brought him Billboard Change Creator Award for the first time.
After Reservoir’s deal with Killer Mike last month’s news that the company has reached an agreement to purchase shares in the portfolio of legendary hip-hop producer and musician Larry Smith.

Of the company financial results for its fiscal Q3 2022 (calendar quarter 2021), revealed that its total revenue for the three months ended December 31 increased 26% to $27.1 million, compared with 21.6 million dollars in the previous quarter.
Along with Reservoir’s most recent financial results, Khosrowshahi revealed that the company has “$3 billion in transactions in progress.”
Since Reservoir emerged successfully on NASDAQ in July 2021, the company has acquired:
- A raft of songs by country musicians Stephen Smith for an undisclosed fee (in November).
- Hit Songs by the Platinum Best-Selling Producer and Musician Dallas Austin (November).
- Bets in the publishing catalog of Fred Parris, writer, vocalist and founder of the doo-wop group The Five Satins (December).
- Publishing catalog of Grammy Award-winning DJs, songwriters and producers Fred Lister (in January 2022).
- Publishing and cataloging of country music stars Travis Tritt (January 2022).
