Resident Evil Village just got EVEN scarier with the PSVR2 update

PSVR2 finally has a release date and more games are being announced for the headset before it launches in early 2023.

Fans were disappointed to hear that the PSVR2 won’t be available in stores in time for Christmas, but with more games to be announced it might be worth the wait.

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village will be getting a PSVR2 version that puts players directly in the shoes of the protagonist, Ethan Winters.

Resident Evil 7 was released on the original PlayStation VR to great acclaim, although many were too scared to play it for long.

Tokyo Game Show attendees will be the first to try out the new immersive version, with a playable demo being made available at the event.

This will be the first time the public can experience the latest PlayStation VR.

Sony confirms PlayStation VR 2 will NOT be home for Christmas

PSVR2 will feature numerous upgrades over its predecessor which was released in 2016.

It’s brought up to the industry standard, with near-4K resolution and eye-tracking to reduce motion sickness.

It will also feature PlayStation’s patented haptic feedback to make games more immersive, as well as customizable eyepieces.

Guerrilla Games, creators of the Horizon series, are also developing a game for the upcoming system called Horizon Call of the Mountain.

A price for PSVR2 has yet to be announced, although it will likely be higher than estimates suggested.

Sony recently announced that the PS5 will receive a price increase in most regions of the world except for the US.

Prices will rise across the board by up to 12%, depending on the region. According to reports, this is intended to combat high global inflation rates.

Those looking to buy the upcoming PSVR2 will need a PS5 to play it.

Rumor has it that Sony has postponed the release date of the new virtual reality headset until after Christmas.

This move is apparently in hopes of increasing the number of PS5s in people’s homes.
