Resident Evil Village VR mode is coming to PlayStation VR2 on the day of its release, February 22nd, and is available as free DLC for all Village owners on PlayStation 5. Those who own the Gold Edition of Village also get it for free.
However, you’ll need the $549.99 PSVR2 hardware to try out this new mode for Village, as the name suggests. VR mode isn’t just a slice of Village; You can play through the entire campaign in this new (probably terrifying) way. And you can do this the day you bring your PSVR2 system home.
“With PlayStation VR2, a deeper and more immersive adventure awaits as Ethan Winters’ journey takes full advantage of the headset’s advanced capabilities,” reads a press release. “VR mode uses the 4K HDR display, eye tracking and 3D audio to make Resident Evil Village more realistic and immersive than ever.”
Capcom says the platform’s PSVR2 Sense controllers will add even more immersion to the new mode.
