Residents on a mission to redesign their Hove care home

ELDERLY residents have shopped to help with their nursing home renovation.

As part of their regular activities outside the home, residents traveled in the home’s minibus, accompanied by staff from Barford Court.

The aim of the trip was to collect ideas for the nursing home, which the residents help shape.

Beryl Ward, 94, said: “It was so nice to be on the road and hop on the minibus.”

Joyce Drew, 88, said: “I really liked looking at the colorful flowers.”

Residents not only looked for plants but also stuffed animals to make Barford Court livable.

Michelle Dyer, activities coordinator at Barford Court, helped them find the best items.

She said: “I had a lovely time exploring the garden center with the residents. It was so nice to see the smiles on their faces.”

RMBI Home Barford Court is operated by RMBI Care Co., part of the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
