Revolut today launched Homes – a vacation home rentals feature that is part of Revolut’s accommodation booking service, Revolut Stays, and aims to acquire Airbnb.
The finance application offers its more than 20 million customers worldwide the ability to book from hundreds of thousands of vacation homes and grants cashback to users who book through the app.
Customers who use Homes to book a stay are entitled to up to 4 percent cashback on their bill, Revolut said, as it has been confirmed that more than €1.5 million has already been paid back to customers via cashback incentives in Revolut Stays became.
Homes will initially be available in the UK and Europe and customers will pay for a Home through the Revolut app. Features like bill splitting and low exchange rates, already used across Revolut’s suite of services, are available in Homes.
“We know that our customers’ travel needs are constantly changing. Big or small, budget or bougie, local houses or fancy hotels – our customers want to book every type of place in one place,” said Christopher Guttridge, general manager of lifestyle products at Revolut.
“Whether it’s digital nomads working abroad, extended families traveling together under one roof, or couples looking for a second home, we’re excited to add Homes to our global superapp to create hassle-free homes, hotels and provide hostels with hassle-free cashback,” Mr. Guttridge said.
Customers can open Stays in their Revolut app, choose their dates and location, and then browse from the wide range of accommodations across the continent. Users can filter to find what they need – such as B. pet-friendly homes or those with a dedicated workspace – and then book and pay for everything within the app.
