RICHARD RIAKPORHE SEND AN HONEST MESSAGE TO CHILDREN THAT ARE TRAPPED IN A BAD LIFESTYLE

Richard Riakporhe stopped Deion Jumah in their national cruiserweight clash at the OVO Wembley Arena to continue his run to the world title.

Jumah was late in entering the competition, but he couldn’t handle the overwhelming power of Riakporhe, who made his first breakthrough with a fourth-round knockdown. Jumah was able to climb back to his feet and survive the middle rounds, but was ultimately on the receiving end of another powerful shot that ended his night in round eight.

After a cautious start, both men looked to calm down and establish their jabs during chess-like early exchanges in the first two rounds. A similar pattern continued into the third stanza, with neither fighter being able to create a significant opening.

Riakporhe suddenly broke through in the fourth round, sending his opponent to the canvas with a booming right hand, but Jumah was saved by the bell. He kept increasing the pressure in the early stages of the fifth round, but Jumah pulled through Fire back.

The proceedings continued at a much more frantic pace, and Jumah was able to fight his way back into the fight with his legs now fully recovered from the earlier knockdown. But Riakporhe made the crucial opening in the eighth round, sending Jumah onto the deck for the second time in the fight, with the referee seeing no choice but to stop the fight.

The 32-year-old celebrated his 14th professional win and delivered an ominous warning to home rival Lawrence Okolie, who currently holds a world title.

On the undercard, Caroline Dubois rallied to a stoppage win in the opening round in her second professional fight before rising star Adam Azim drove to a routine first-round dismissal. Adam Azeez continued his unbeaten streak in the night’s co-main event with a dominant performance that culminated in an eight-round stoppage against Reece Cartwright.
