Tom Hanks Shocked By Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globe Joke

Ricky Gervais has been hit by controversial jokes about transgender people in the new Netflix comedy special.

The After Life creator, 60, only released his new show, SuperNature, just hours ago but it has already attracted outrage online.

Just four minutes is special when the comedian unleashes a series of jokes that many call “through the air”.

During a lengthy segment of the film special, he said: “Oh, women! Not all women, I mean old-fashioned ones. Old-fashioned women, those with uteruses. that goddamn dinosaur I love the new women they’re great aren’t they the new ones we’ve seen recently the bearded and c**ks they’re as good as gold I love surname.

“And now old-fashioned people say, ‘Oh, they want to use our restroom.’ ‘Why shouldn’t they use your toilet?’ ‘For women!’ ‘Surname to be ladies – look at their pronouns! What if this person is not a woman? ‘ “Well, his penis.” ‘Her penis, you fucker!’ ‘What if he raped me?’ ‘What if she raped you, you fucking TERF w***e? ‘”

Ricky Gervais has been criticized for jokes dubbed cannibals

Social media users took to Twitter to criticize the joke, claiming it “wasn’t comedic” and was just “making bad, cheap stereotypes out of a minority”.

One person tweeted: “Ricky Gervais has a new indie show on Netflix today.

“5 minutes later and he was joking about transgender women assaulting and raping people in public bathrooms. To him, we only exist as a line, a threat, a something less than human.”

While another commented: “Ricky Gervais is just an insanely lazy comedian who hasn’t learned that just because you’re repulsive doesn’t mean you’re funny.

“His fans now seem to consist of people on the right, who think cruelty is funny simply because it’s cruel and ‘triggers lies’.”

Social media users took to Twitter to defame the show

A third lamented: “It’s crazy how the whole footage of Ricky Gervais screaming and complaining about marginalized groups being brutally murdered every day, before turning into the camera, making a sad face and said that “some people have glued their lips on bunnies”.

“Ricky Gervais New Stand Up Show #SuperNature makes fun of transgender women attacking and raping people in public bathrooms,” another commented.

“This is not a comedy. This is creating cheap and nasty stereotypes against a minority group. Please, if you are Transgender or Transgender, don’t watch the series. this movie.”

However, others defended Gervais when they insisted that comedians should be able to joke about any subject.

One person tweeted: “Ricky Gervais is nailing it.”

While another commented: “Ricky Gervais will gain more fans than he loses”.

A third person wrote: “In [US] We have Dave Chappelle. inside [UK], they have Ricky Gervais. Both are men who speak out for women through comedy.

“When will women do the same? We can’t leave all formal relationships to guys! I appreciate them tho. Thank you guys!”

Gervais’ backlash comes just months after Jimmy Carr was similarly blasted in February for a Holocaust joke on the Netflix show His Dark Materials.

Last year, the streaming site also came under pressure to remove Dave Chappelle for his “dangerously piercing” show.
